Unilever License

I'm pretty excited that Unilever has licensed my song "We Wanna Be Free". This is a song that I worked on with Saukrates and Colin Munroe after winning 91.5FM's Rhythm of the Future Talent Contest.

Unilever represents many household brands like Dove, Ave, Ben & Jerry's, Imperial and Vim. They are a hugely respected international company and its an honor to partner with them and their current promo.

Los Angeles and Canadian Music Week

CMW was eventful this year. I saw some great showcases like Australia's Busby Marou, Hamilton's Tomi Swick & Toronto's own Jessica Stuart who plays the koto :)

I also had the chance to attend an exclusive CMPA event and meet a bunch of music supervisors from NY & LA as well as sit in on some great panels. Overall a productive week of networking.

This week, I've been suffering in the Los Angeles heat :) I wrote a solid new tune with Nicki Noelle of Universal and Farah Achour who is working with Pitbull's company "Mr. 305". I also have a cool demo in the works for a track with fellow Canadian composer Steve London.

Apart from going on some awesome hikes and generally enjoying a great city, I've also been able to connect with friends like manager Todd Arkell, producer Bill Bell, writing team "The Ontic", Socan's Bob Hunka and actors Paolo Mancini and Tarah Consoli. Also had the chance to meet the A&R rep at MusicDealers as well as reconnect with the staff at Creative Control Ent.

Back to TO soon and looking forward to finishing up a few more tracks with Max Roach.

Productive January

I count myself lucky to have met drummer/writer/producer Max Roach in late 2011 at a local music networking meeting "BS Fridays".

In the last few weeks we've pumped out some songs which are currently being pitched all over the place including some big name artists.

We work well as a team as I focus on lyrics/melody while Max engages in creating serious drum programming chops and digital instrumentation.
